Horrible Horrible attitude and service
The wine walk on November 4th in SOHO entitles winelovers to walk along SOHO streets and in exchange for pre-purchased tickets, and savour a tasting af a range of wines. I walked along Elgin Street, and then returned via Staunton Street and as I ascended back up to Elgin Street, I decided to stop over at Peak Cafe next to the escalator. I presented my tickets in exchange for wine and was told their is only MULLED wine available. Fair enough….. I asked to be seated and ordered the lovely Ginger salmon and asked if I could have an alternative to the mulled wine as I was having DINNER and MULLED WINE does not pair very well with Ginger salmon. The answer was ‘NO’. I had 4 tickets left of the evenings tastings and asked if I could pop out and get a wine next door or elsewhere and bring this back to enjoy with my dinner and the answer was – ” I refuse to serve you food! if you bring wine from outside…..”. J the waitress thought this incident was extremely funny! When I asked to see the manager – E – he was to say the least – ARROGANT!!! What a SAD spin on a lovely evening and a lovely event to promote SOHO…….
